Tech committee meeting 10/21/13
In attendance: T. Quinn BJ Chauvin, R. Fitzpatrick, P. Conis, M. Hauck, K. Roos

Topic of discussion: Priorities for upcoming year

• 1-to-1
• google apps/google school
• cell phone policy change- already in progress.  comments and feedback have been submitted to Tammy.  A draft proposal will be presented to the committee
• Acceptable Use Policy change- needs to be updated to address change in cell phone policy and addition of wifi to campus.  Paula nd others will research other schools' policies and put copies on Tech Committee blog
• addition of wifi to campus
• creating a digital citizenship curriculum
• professional development program that encompasses all tech needs

• Review Tech Plan draft (completed end of last year)
  draft document to view and comment
  slideshow summary to view and comment
• Finalize Tech Plan, submit to Administration for adoption
• Set priorities for committee work (possible list):
• acceptable use policy revision
• cell phone policy revision
• planning for 1-to-1 deployment
• planning for adoption of Google Apps for Education
• creating a "Digital Citizenship" curriculum

Tech Committee 2013-14

It's time to get the Tech Committee back on track.  We have a lot of work ahead, given the technology changes we've made and those soon to come.

Everyone is welcome to participate, of course.  If you are interested, please let me know (use this poll) what days are workable for you to meet.  We'll plan on meeting every other week as we did last year.  I'm targeting our first meeting of 2013-14 for the week of 10/7.

If you're unable to attend, we'll continue to maintain this blog so you can stay abreast of issues and what's going on.
